You decided homeschool your children. Congratulations! You have chosen to become part of a special lifestyle. Don't be afraid--hundreds of thousands of other families have traveled this path and many have left guides to help you. The more you learn about homeschooling and the more you talk with other homeschooling parents, the more confident you will become. Find out some basics to help you start.
Homeschool Laws & Standards
Find out the homeschool law in your
state. Statewide or local groups can help you with this. Also a
letter to the state Department of Education will probably give you the
most accurate information in terms of the exact laws pertaining to you.
Other than telling you what the law is, you can NOT necessarily trust
what they tell you to do in terms of following it. So now what? Find a
local or statewide group of homeschoolers who are already doing it to
help you make sure that you are following the terms of the law. More about Homeschooling Law.
