Review: Skeptical no more... : I had read reviews of these Lifepacs by Alpha Omega in homeschooling catalogs and was a little skeptical because they stated that although these Lifepacs had 'saved' them with homeschooling in times of stress (after childbirth, moving, etc) that the teacher felt that the child would be bored with it year after year. I ordered it anyway because these Language Lifepacs include not only grammer, but reading comprehension, spelling, handwriting, and creative writing. Subjects that you'd have to buy separately with other language curriculum. Plus, the price for all of this just can't be beat. My child and I were very pleasantly surprised. The pages are decorated simply (not 'too' much distraction), and the lessons are straight forward and easily comprehended by a second grade reader, but don't confuse simplicity with inevitable boredom. My son has devoured these Lifepacs. I think he likes the autonomy (and hey, I do too). Each Lifepac will probably take about 3 weeks to complete and there are 10 of them. So your child sees progression as each pac is completed. I plan on using AO's Lifepacs for Language year after year.
