Review: Whimsical introduction to the saints : This book is a compendium of brief lives of the saints told in the manner of fairy tales. The approach has the advantage of capturing and holding the attention of young readers (it did mine). The author is an excellent storyteller and in a marvelous way is able to capture the spirit and personality of each individual saint. No child who reads this book will ever hold the stereotype of saints as pious bores!
