Review: Nice pictures, very detailed : I really like this book. It is a soft covered book, appears to have what looks like a laminated cover, and is thin, but the pages are nice, thick paper. The pictures inside are drawings like the ones of the ladies on the front cover, but are very detailed, even down to the designs on the clothing and jewelry. I don't know that I'd ever "color" in this book although it is a "coloring book" because the pictures are so nicely drawn. I think if you colored them, you'd want to do them justice by using colored pencils or some other very nice media. I don't really like the cover because the position of the ladies bodies seem sort of anatomically incorrect, but the pictures on the inside are very nice. I think it's an awesome deal for the price and very informative as well! I like it very much! I think I read in the book they give permission to make copies of the pages or something, and if anyone was doing a report for school or fashion class or something, it would be a very nice resource. I guess too, if you had a child that was doing a report on India for school, you could use some of the pictures and just cut them out for a poster as well. There are all sorts of things you could use the book for other than just a "coloring book." I'm sure you could use it for that as well if you wanted.. lol, I mean, that IS part of the intended purpose. :-) Namaste!
